We believe that it’s better to be introduced to new levels of amplification very gradually.

Amplification preference is a very individual thing

Hearing aids do not work for everyone. In fact, they seldom do what the new user expects. How do we increase the chance of success? How do we protect patients from disappointment?

There should be no mystery at all surrounding private hearing aids.

Why should our prospective patients be so worried about stepping through our door? We need to remove all possible barriers. The internet has helped a lot. Positive blog stories & content can help even more. Engagement with your local community to get the right message across is perhaps old-fashioned, but it works.

Everyone that has hearing difficulties must be enabled to try hearing aids before committing to wearing them

The members of The Hearing Practice Group believe that all UK citizens should be able to test new hearing aids thoroughly in the first instance, to find out if they will suit them.

I needed wax removal in... my ear and decided to see Kirstin at the Chesterfield Hearing Practice. The treatment was quick, painless and very efficient and Kirstin was brilliant. This is a private treatment so there is a cost involved but it is worth every penny as an ear infection is very painful and difficult to treat. Thank you Kirstin and... Team! We thought my Mom lost hiring on right ear. But Kirstin found audibility level and mother now hears with both ears- she can hear her voice and her quality of life very improved. The service offered by Chesterfield hearing practice was wonderful- during 1 month we tried several kinds of hearing aid and had a chance to choose the most appropriate! A first class service... offered by Rob and his team regarding my hearing aid which is the Phonak V70. Rob made it clear and simple to understand the benefits of the hearing aid and how it works best for me with the different functions. I can say I made the right choice and it made it easier with Rob's knowledge, experience but above all his explanations regarding the hearing aid. I first contacted Rob... Donnan several years ago, after having multiple problems with hearing aids purchased from 2 of the high street names. From the start Rob put me at ease, explaining my options, and advising me of the most suitable hearing aid for my condition. I have worn hearing aids... all my life and have met a fair few hearing aid dispensers. After the latest bad experience, I decided to try R J Donnan. Rob came and visited me at home where he took his time to get to know me and find out what my needs are. I soon decided that he wasn't going to just take my money and leave me to it so I bought my first pair of hearing aids from him. I had no regrets at all. The aftercare from the whole team is brilliant and is really quite unique when compared to other hearing aid dispensers. I recently decided I wanted to upgrade my hearing aids to some with higher specs and with Bluetooth and there was no question about who I'd be getting them from. Rob has provided me with the best hearing aids I could possibly ask for and I'm absolutely delighted by the improvement they've made to my life. Recent visit to R. J... Donnan Hearing Care. Right from the start Rob made my wife and I feel very relaxed and confident of a very professional service. After my hearing was found to be 'in need of improvement' Rob went through several options with me and placed his recommended hearing aids in place. We chatted for some time until I was confident enough to leave, wearing the hearing aids on trial. No payment was requested at this time. Rob made a follow up appointment for me for the following week. On my return, and only when I was totally happy with every detail, was payment required. Will be going back next week for the first of future follow up appointments. As I work in the music business it is essential that my hearing has to be as good as it can be and I am pleased to say that I am more than satisfied. Sammy King.read more
